Creative Dance Center’s End of Season party theme was NYC. It’s always a great time to celebrate the successes and growth of the season, and this time we also celebrated Lucas’ last end of season party.

The Most Inspiring dancer award is a peer award, voted by dancers on other tracks (Juniors, Connect, Competition and Convention). Oliver won for Competition track and Lucas won for Convention track. Oliver aspires to work his way up to Convention team so being recognized by his teammates is validating and as Lucas wraps up his CDC career it is wonderful to be reminded of the impact he’s had on the younger dancers.

To the coaches that have taught, supported and inspired my kids, thank you. These lessons will be carried forward.
And to my fellow senior moms, we’ve spent the last eight years supporting our kids and eachother. We’ve navigated nerves, disappointment and running from the bar to the competition room with drink and pom pom in hand without ever missing a beat. We’ve celebrated some incredible wins and recognition and we supported our kids to where they are today, ready to end this chapter and begin the next part of their story. Our kids are moving out and on but our friendship will remain.
