Cub Scouts has been a great organization and activity to be a part of. One of our favorite events is the annual bake-off. The rules state the scout should create the dessert, from concept to product. Adults should only assist as needed, for safety purposes. Hmm, really? Lucas’ concept was a Pokeball cake.

Every year you get the “hamburger” (thus named because last year a “scout” created a cake resembling a hamburger). This year there were a few hamburgers. Parents, honestly, look at Lucas’ cake, and that’s with some assistance to smooth out the frosting. Did a 7 or 8 year old really decorate these??
Once the judging is done the best part is enjoying all the delicious homemade treats!

The cake with the marshmallows crossing a lake with trees… come on that is completely unrealistic for a 7 year old to have created.
