Revolving sushi has long been his favorite birthday meal. This year we traded in Wasabi at Tysons for Kura Sushi in DC; a little more authentic, delicious and a lot more fun.

For the kid that loves music we surprised him with a record player. Maybe it’s the difference from an iPhone and bluetooth speaker to a record player with real speakers but every day when he comes home from school and plays a record and the music drifts under my door into my office, it just feels better.

Family and friends joined us in celebrating him bringing birthday wishes and hugs; each one helping him grow into the person he will be.
