The hugs you give are the warmest, your hands the sweetest, your kisses the most tender. I see you connecting the dots, remembering what happened before and knowing what is coming next. You entertain with silly faces, killer dance moves and by belting out pop songs. You love puzzles and trains and art. You let me carry you like a baby and you let out the cutest giggle when we snuggle. You call me Mama.

You are exhausting…

As you learn your ABCs you also learn what it means to hurt and to be hurt. As freely as you dole out your affection you take it away. You frustrate because our rules make no sense.
