The city is being transformed for the Sundance Film Festival which begins in two days.

From the way you talk to the way you move
Everybody here is watching you
‘Cause you feel like home
You’re like a dream come true
You sound like a song
My God, this reminds me
Of when we were young”
– Adele

You celebrated your 22nd birthday two weeks after the first time we met. You had Johnny Depp’s hair and the ego of youth. You wooed me with your smarts, singing and sensitivity. I fell in love. You were 28 on the day we said “I do”, with tropical breezes and tears streaming we were brimming with newness and expectation. You were 31 when we discovered a new kind of love and vulnerability that would change our very core. You were 33 when your daughter first wrapped you around her tiny finger. You were 34 when you looked at your newborn son and still wanted one more. After almost nine years of being parents, after eleven years of being husband and wife we are still the twenty-somethings that giggle every time we get a free drink and make up silly games just to have a laugh.
You turned 40 when you discovered bread-facing, karaoke cabs and snowmobiling, squeezed seven adults into a four person hot-tub, snowboarded filming your friends while trying not to fall, had stuffed mushrooms with mushroom soup drizzled with mushroom sauce, did all the things you love, discovered new things that you came to love with the people that love you most.
