They don’t know that they shouldn’t bloom, that they should hide their brilliant pink so as to not draw the eyes, the crowds. They are simply answering to the rain and the sun.
Strangers still spoke, standing six-feet apart, wearing masks.
Couples still got engaged. The perfect spot at the perfect time could not be given up.
Cameras rolled capturing people practicing social distancing and not.
And my kids enjoyed the empty city streets.
